Basically I was addressing the issue of whether there was support at $25, which is independent of long-term or trader.

However, I am basically a value and growth investor. I use my smattering of TA to help me refine entry and exit timing. And so, knowing then what I know now about TA, I would not have bought my shares of QWST a month ro so ago. Rather I would have waited for an entry at a lower price. Guess my system is a hybrid system, but it seems to work ... at least so far.

I have no quibble with telecommunications stocks being a great growth industry. And I reckon QWST is as good as any of them. But I try not to be blinded by the future so much that I miss the short cuts along the way ... or even hit one of the bumps along the way.

Your point about a ruling from the FCC is *very* well taken. The potential for that event makes QWST a news-driven holding, rather than a supply-demand driven one. An trader who happens to be out of the stock at the time of the investment will lose a lot because of the pop. That is the risk of trading in news-driven stocks.

Maybe I'll hold onto my QWST <grin>.
