Of course this is a good buying opportunity. The problem is that it costs real (as opposed to play) money to buy, there is a demonstrated risk involved, and Chicken Little is running around screaming about the sky that is falling! The only sensible way to handle that risk is to only buy when you can purchase a bargainfull of potential earning power for a reasonable sum. And to only do so when you are prepared and able to hold that purchase until the potential blossoms into real earnings. It might go down more in the meantime, but you only lose when you sell and you only know you are going to lose when you have paid more than a bargain amount for that potential earning power. Yes, if you have overpaid it might take some time to regain the level at which you bought. But with your luck and choices, do you really believe you can take your remaining coins and buy something that is likely to be cheaper at this point in time? Not casting stones, but that is a question I am always ready to ask myself when I gain a nice loss. And sometimes, something basic has changed with the stock that allows me to say "yeah, I can do better", but usually I find that my mind is the only thing that has changed. Which suggests I just paid too much and had better wait for recovery. I really doubt that the computer industry is in permanent demise, and I really think SMOD has a pretty good position in that industry and with luck and work, it could get to be a better position.
