The USA has got to be the land of milk and honey for lawyers .I'm not sure why we are such a litigious society. It may have something to do with our English background (but Canadians have that too) or with the fact that our government is deliberately designed to have limited direct powers, thus allowing lawyers to fill in the gap. A big factor is that our congress is dominated by lawyers. In France, the legislature is dominated by ex civil servants and the result for them is one of the most intrusive governments in the world, with rules and regulations for everything. Instead in the US we have lawsuits for everything. Much as I dislike many lawyers, if they are the price for a free society, it is a price I'm willing to accept. good investing
