Scanner, Oh, about 3 or 4 years ago, the main stream press got a whiff of some of the Iowa/Minnesota jokes and devoted a few columns to the best of the jokes. About 2 years or so ago, the WSJ picked up on it and ran a front pager, continued on the inside pages. I can't remember any specific jokes, but it seemed to me that Minnesota was "winning". At the time the Iowa comeback joke was something to the effect of "we let them win in the jokes, because everyone knows that their sports teams are the biggest of all Minnesota jokes.". Back then, the U of M had losing programs everywhere, and the Twins, Vikings & Timberwolves couldn't have beaten an Iowa High School All-Star team. KJC
