Slot 1 systems now come with full ACPI based power management functionality.

Thus in terms of Price/Performance/functionality Socket 7 is left in the dust.

No wonder Compaq is selling K6-266 based systems for 799, and Celeron 266 based systems for 999. (better value for the money).

AMD dudes, Party's over!!!

Engle,
Nope didn't know that one either.
However,
I DON'T want Intel selling Celerons, I want them to sell Pentium IIs and Xeons.
How else will they grow earnings.
Jim
