Thanks Patrick...This indicator simply looks at the 6 and 10 day historical volatility being 2 days under the 100 day...We are looking for a potential explosion either up or down..By studying the close of the day, you have an idea of what direction the explosion will be...As the indicator stands without your addition, I was getting hits on both up and down possibilities...Right now, I would still like to limit my picks to long positions rather than short positions...regards, Mark

Pat, I am still getting too many hits...Could we add yet to the formula,
1) where ADX is greater than yesterdays ADX
2) where ADX is greater than 14
3) where volume is greater today than 30,000 shares
