Techie,

You are progressing admirably, a model student. Good post, with reference!

Just curious... For the technologically enlightened -- How difficult is it to convert a DRAM fab to make other chips? Is this a commercially viable alternative for some of the surplus fabs? With all of the new applications using chips (automobiles, climate control, toasters, refrigerators, etc), do you think that the excess DRAM capability will be closed, converted, or that the worldwide market for all types of chips will grow into the capacity?

Thanks, 3.
