*** Chevron entry to GOM ***

In response to earlier mention of Chevron rig, check it out!

caller.com We've been following progress of the spar buoy for months as it was
being built by AKER Marine in INGLESIDE,TEX.
Their yard is just 5 miles up the ship channel from our home in Port
Aransas. The buoy looks like a giant auger bit,but will be suspended
by tension cable anchor system off the bottom.

We were offshore marlin fishing Friday the 12th when they took her out the jetties at Port A. We saw her under tow heading north toward her final destination, some 150 miles S.E. of New Orleans,as we were returning from our trip.Very interesting sight and very interesting
concept,as this is a first for this concept in the GOM.

Regards...WK
