"Pride going to the head," you said. Well, of course! But S. Korea is not a poor team. Remember how they played against Mexico's very good side before their star striker was given the boot. I admit predictions are tough to make in this Cup. I agree, it is the most wide-open we have enjoyed for a long time. Any one of these teams could win: Holland, France, Brazil, Italy, Argentina, Nigeria. I think Germany, though they showed their world-class mettle today, are not true contenders. The first half-hour of Holland's game was disappointing, but after that they played an almost perfect game. If they can play like that throughout the rest of the finals, no one can beat them. It very easily could have been seven or eight to nil. Bergkamp missed two or three opportunities that, on normal form, he would have easily put away. Nevertheless, he is well on his way to being completely match-fit. I believe the game against Mexico will help him fine-tune his game further. He should be on top form the rest of the tournament. This Dutch team has what it takes. They have finally truly come together. But please, please, PLEASE, DON'T LET THEM SHOOT THEMSELVES IN THE FOOT!!

As for Holland-Mexico, I predict 3-1 HOLLAND. When everyone is scoring from so many different areas of the pitch, it's a very dangerous sign for opponents. Holland has its act together like I have not seen for a long time. Remember: Bergkamp and Jonk did not come on until late in the game against Belgium. That made all the difference. They are not the same team without Bergkamp. And when Kluivert returns, hopefully sans attitude, the Dutch attack will be there in all its glory.

Welcome back! Well, actually I still feel that my team is not playing as it could/should, and it is not that "I'm saving for a rainy day". Jamaica was just to easy. I think they have done what they could, and there are many teams in the same situation. For example two of them are about to start playing right now.

I'd say that only next friday Argentina starts playing the World Cup, these were only warm up games.

z welcome back we missed u!

The reggaeboyz should start playing "Babylon"...

"IMO Mexico should have won this game, their equalizer, was a SUPERB GOLAZO, both in the set up and the finishing, Blanco executed to perfection, with the OUTSIDE of his foot,"

Yes I agree they should have won and what a GOLAZO. Just imagine what this team could do if Bora was still there!<g>

"IMO this cup is probably the most open one for a long time, I can not see so far a "clear winner"."

I agree again! I hope we see great soccer and may the best one win!

"The USA -Vs- Iran..... I saw the US trainer a couple of days ago... a sorry sight indeed, this guy should go and train the mentally handicapped bureaucrats..."

Yes he was a sorry sight. I have a feeling Sampson will be gone after the WC.

"The best thing to do is to forget all the instructions from the chief bureaucrat, and go have some fun and play like I know these guys could play..."

The idiot, with all his respect bullshit talk, and the stupid 3-6-1 formation (he wanted to make a name of himself, the only coach taking his team in this system which nobody plays!), his stupid player selection, on and on...I think he should just let them loose and play. Tell them, hey guys listen the Yugos will kill us so we have nothing to lose so lets just go out and have fun<ggg>

RE:FTEL, I agree with your comments. I am a long-term investor and I like the risk vs. reward on this company. And yes these cheerleaders on the thread are toooooooo much sometimes...

Welcome back
