Streetwise & Pistol et al: The Siemens/ FNTN plot thickens. "Strategic alliance" could very well be no more than a fancy term for vendor. Then again.. Personally, I believe this relationship is based on much more than vendor/ client dealings. The smart major league teams have great scouts and strong minor league systems. Successful corporations in fast moving technical arenas spend much of their time and money looking for and bankrolling the little guys with big ideas and big breakthroughs. Siemens, as you all know, is an immense and immensely wealthy corporation. They are also extremely competitive and rich with sharp business and technical minds. NOW - Here I go out on a major limb.... OPINION ONLY: At some point between now and early 1999, I think that we will be hearing about a sizable investment in FNTN by Siemens. Not a takeover, just a multi-million dollar stake. IF that occurs (and I don't think it's a far-fetched fantasy) I believe that we will see FNTN stock hit the $20 mark. Then again, "strategic alliance" could mean no more then Pete suggested it could mean. We don't know.. yet! Carl Sagan, in answer to the question of the existence extraterrestrial life, said (paraphrase) "Whether life exists elsewhere or we're the only life in the universe, either answer boggles the mind." It's an exciting time to be in Cyberspace. We've hitched onto quite a ride to someplace. The possibilities boggle our minds, everyday. Have a good week, everyone - financially and otherwise. Wally
