Craig- I believe there is a significant market for both, but if AMZN or any other music or book retailer can't create additional significant markets or bring in new buyers they're still slicing the same pie and the pie doesn't justify an addtional $4 billion market cap in the book industry. Books and cds to me are a zero sum game. The additional revenue you create by selling those hard to find books to the person who otherwise would not buy them is lost in reduced margins overall. Besides, online is great when you know what you want, but I'd rather browse a real store. Now if they could figure out how to deliver hot starbucks...:)
