the advertising can never stop. Retailing will not permit that without the loss of customers. This belief that AMZN will eventually have reduced marketing expenses is incorrect.

That leaves you with the question of who will control the cost of advertising, AMZN or sites such as Yahoo and AOL. The premium pages on the premium sites will be like Super Bowl ads possibly. Brick and mortar sites might then have their own economical advantages. The pendulum swings both ways.
