Based on the activity lately, it should beat all expectations. If the numbers are just at expectations or less and the stock doesn't get slammed expect a buyout soon.

If the earnings are poor, and the stock gets slammed, it will take a long time to recover.

I'm Expecting decent numbers. Maybe a penny or two ahead of projections.

Briefing.com:09:24 ET Earnings Reports: Anyone invested in networker 3Com (COMS) should be aware that company refusing to give a firm date on its earnings release. While company has been extremely cooperative in the past releasing this information to us, not willing to do so this qtr. Moreover, several Wall Street research analysts whom we have spoken to also say that cannot get a date out of COMS. However, we were able to track down one analyst who claims to know the release date, and he is saying that COMS will report after the close today. This is a very unusual situation.

Captain,s comments: And do you know why they are waiting to report numbers ? Obviously they are bad, but could they also be announcing a merger with CS ? Could this falling networker make a deal to save its business, to increase its market share, and combining with CS to go after Cisco ?
