The response to my recent post has been overwhelming. I have never had so many private messages sent to me in such a short period of time. Thanks to everybody for the support.

I have been following all the threads I used to write on and let me say that even with me being gone, the supporters of these stocks are doing a fine job destroying the credibility of the favorites companies.

Given the number of private messages I got last night and given also the nature of these messages I can categorically say that people like Janice, jhild, TLC, LE, Marcos et al. have a huge following on SI. Their job is valued by a large number of SI members and only promoters, small-time hypesters and outright crooks don't appreciate the quality and value of their work. (Go figure!)

People have been losing money for years on stock promotions. But the Internet has given a new and powerful tool to stock promoters to help them defraud small investors and they are doing it. Small investors are also turning into small-time hypesters and very often they don't realize the harm they do to others, and in the long run to themselves by destroying their credibility and the credibility of the companies they invest in.

I recently read a post from our friend hypesters where he suggested that only people that had positive things to say about a stock should be allowed to post message on a thread. And why don't we apply that rule to Congress? Ever heard the words freedom of speech and democracy? People like that, although being small investors, sometimes will develop a following of unsuspecting investors who will buy stocks for the wrong reasons or based on unsubstantiated information. When they lose money and complain they are told that they should have done their DD.

That type of activity and the activities of real "professional" stock promoters need to be discussed in an open forum like SI. Keep up the good work guys. And hopefully more people will come out publicly against hypesters and promoters.

A final point. People keep telling me that I am paid by MM to do what I do or that I have no job, etc. Let me clarify a few things: I am not paid by anybody to post here, I do it because I feel like it. I have a job and can buy (and hold) more stock in my personal account than all the Rocketeers put together. (OK, I know that doesn't mean I am wealthy, but it's a start).

To my friends and associates, thank you again for your kind words and support. And don't hesitate to ask for my support and advice.

"When good hypes go bad, a/k/a, Welcome to the DGIV thread"

Subject 20535

Things are getting ugly there... hypesters turning on each other when a stock tanks is not a pretty sight...
