Team Totally Hip wins BC Technology Cup!

premier provider of award winning multimedia software and Web content today announced that Team Totally Hip has won the Axion-Internet Technology Cup at the 1998 Alcan Canadian International Dragon Boat Festival held in Vancouver over this past weekend. Team Totally Hip also placed 5th overall in the Toyota BC Dealers Cascadia 'A' Final. This is the highest level of amateur competition for Team Totally Hip and it is their first year competing in the Cascadia Division of the
Dragon Boat competition.
The Vancouver Alcan Dragon Boat Festival has been held for the past ten years and is now the largest and most celebrated dragon boat event of its kind held in North America, with over 200,000 attendees and 3,300 paddlers representing 133 teams from all over Canada and the United States. Dragon Boat Racing is a very high energy, demanding sport, with the highest level of competition and a rigorous training regimen to prepare for competitive events.

Team Totally Hip is coached by Dario Baldasso and managed by Tracy Cardinal and consists of steersperson, Colleen McEwan; drummer, Sharon Lum; and paddlers Margaret Paul (Totally Hip employee), Alana Julie, Cindy Siesling, Danielle St. John, DeNel Sedo, Leslie Tucker, Lisa Koo, Louanne Campbell, Bart Gould, Michelle Dean, Suzanne Siemens, Arnold Rink, Craig Siemens, David Cardinal, Eddie Campbell, Glen Buysse, Mark MacKillop, Matt Ferguson, Stephen Midgley, Rob Carpenter, Charlie Wong, and Leigh Ryan.
Team Totally Hip will be attending the 'Battle of the Dragons' Championship in September, 26-27, 1998. This Dragon Boat event is expected to attract the highest level of competition of paddlers from many teams throughout Canada and the United States. It is slated to be a very competitive, exciting event and Totally Hip Software Inc. encourages San Francisco Bay Area residents and other high technology companies to attend this competitive event in late September.
