MP, The other mistake I make is to put a long or medium shot in both places in an exacta or all three places in the tri, root him home, and then watch my short shot accompanying horses all finish out of the money. <G> I always scream, "don't I get something? I picked the tough one right." Nary a drop of sympathy at the payoff window. BTW, on simulcast, one thing I really hate is when a horse wins by half a mile, but two or three horses are in a photo for second. Then the t.v. crews replay the winner crossing the line 922 times before we ever see a replay of the crowd for second. <G> MB
