Dear Henry - personally, I'd also look at the long[er] term prospects; however, this coming Q is important to the street because it will invalidate last Q decline as an anomaly [a confluence of factors including BAY seasonal weakness and product transitio etc] and recovery is on track. Also, while hi tech, especially networkers, in the current environment [such as increased competition and Asia meltdowns] has made difficult to gauge the long term prospect from short term variables, the perception of BAY mgt competency is at stake here. If House & co can demonstrate their abilities to operate with great efficiencies, it will go a long way to convince the street. While you and I may want to root for the co, the sad truth is that not being an alpha wolf, BAY has to go an extra mile just to placade the critics. best, Bosco
