To All: For what it is worth. Very interesting rumour! Goldman is apparently in pretty serious talks with Nortel insisting the Bay deal NOT be consumated. Goldman is apparently threatening to recommend every client sell Nortel should management fail to agree. Goldman appears to acting on behalf of Ericsson who will be the ultimate buyer of Bay while Nortel is being coached into acquirng Newbridge. Wild stuff I know, but the source is very credible.
