I don't have alot of time to respond to your individual points, but the fact is that most of the stock manipulation problems centered on thinly traded stocks.

If this "very smart" MM did as you suggested, the other 19-39 would take him to the cleaners. MMs often short or establish positions in a stocks, leading to differences in the buy/ask volume. This happens on NYSE as well as NASDAQ. Because this isn't unusual, your example isn't likely to support your arguments.

I'm pretty well filled in on the NASDAQ problems, but to now extrapolate them into some broad conspiracy (especially given the recent crackdown) of ifmx stock price manipulation by this amazing MM seems a bit too incredible for me. Perhaps others buy your story.

Something tells me that these ifmx traders read this thread (many securities people do) and have a good laugh ........

Why does everyone insist on saying " THE MM" and " HE" Etc............... you do realize there are many MARKET MAKER'S IN ALL STOCKS,MORE THEN ONE. Are you suggesting they are all trying to go the same way as a team, sure !. Ah yes sir, may i show you to the real world now, right this way. <VBG> !!!!
