Michael:

I assume that you are talking about new subs in a month? If so, that is great news...however 12 * 56,000 is far short of the 1.2 million that were suppose to be signed up this year.

When the Echo IV switch gets turned on and Echo I is moved, to you believe that there will be a mass signup of people in Hawaii, Alaska and the West Coast for locals ?? I'm not sure if it will effect anybody in the main states anytime soon. Echo III currently has locals + 3 more PPV, NASA, and some foreign programming.

I think its great that Dish will have the capacity but its kinda like nuclear weapons. If it takes a 1000 warheads to destroy the world and we have 15,000 nukes and the russians have 20,000 nukes does it really matter that they have 5000 more than us? Please accept my apologies for the cold war analogies. If the "more the merrier" principal is at work here, at least Charlie has set up the locals to fill the bandwidth.
