Huh? My covered CALLs have been doing very well as I have been posted here. Also my "predictions" have been surprisingly accurate. People who know me understand I do not try to predict but to set price objectives based on what I think the stock is likely to do given the fundamental and technical backdrop of the stock along with its trading action. Sentiment is another important factor that I use are part of my approach. But if I think the stock will not meet my price objective, then I will respond accordingly like any intelligent trader would. And I have been wrong with my price objectives in the past, but so far I am able to adjust in time to salvage an open options position capturing most of my profit or ending up with just a small loss.

When my price objectives turned out to be an accurate "predition" of the price I was pleasantly surprised. This was the case with my price objective of 6 and 6 3/4 on the downside. This is unusual since I do not claim to be able to predict the future. There were times I thought the stock would go higher or lower at a given point in time, but what is important here are my price objectives. I write my options based on my price objectives. My current price objective is 8. Now what do you think are the chances that we will make 8 since we are within less than 1/4 of a point of this number right now? However, I will be ready to write my CALLs once I see the trading activity fading the current intraday high below 8. Right now the stock is trading in a very narrow range under light volume. This can precede relatively significant moves by a stock. Since I am watching for a reversal, I am ready to write my CALLs.

Are you sure you are referring to the posts that I have made here in the past? I am getting the idea that you are not. Like I said earlier, do your research. I suggest adding to your list of items to research the posts I have made here in the (recent) past.

As far as the MM go, they have been held to account and fined for some of the same specific reasons before but that did not stop them from continuing their manipulative practices. Like you said, this is not new news, but it is certainly reoccuring news.

>>>- you're pointing to dated material. there has been a huge crackdown on the spread manipulation, and although it certainly still exists at some level, the MMs are being watched very closely. <<<

These securities market crackdowns are like the periodic cleanups where the vice squad has the hookers stay inside while the president is in town for a few days.

Mostly ludicrous in their lack of effect.

Pro traders are risk takers. It turns them on. The greater the risk of being caught the greater the thrill, for some of them. I have been watching one crackdown after another since 1967, and all I have learned is that if enough money is involved they'll run naked down Wall Street to get it.

The only solution to this will be when it is entirely a computer matching system with nobody but the computer specialists, the cops, and the requisite financial experts and accounts involved. With the middlemen out, there would be a chance of widespread honesty.
