Joe, I am quite sure that if folks want to drive a bit further that rooms can be found for under $40. Just get away from the attractions and into some of the smaller towns. It's hot here around the end of July so the tourist flow tends to fall off. Unless there is a major event planned in this area around the time of the meeting I would think that finding a vacancy would not be a problem.

Everyone, There are two or three other hotels on Disney property as well. The Contemporary and The Polynesian are the two original Disney hotels. Both have been there since opening day and they might be less expensive than the newer Floridian.
