Geaorge, Thanks for your response, I understand your frustration, but in your response you have your positive answer. Your explanation as to who wrote the article, it makes it clear now. That guy has absolute ZERO knowledge about soccer and indeed the progress that the US has made in such short time. Those type of comments will always be around. it sounds (as someone else used this term already), as though it comes from a "cartoon potentate" that feels superior... the guy probably has never participated in competitive sports, and if he did, so what, what the hell can he possibly know about soccer and what it takes to get to the world cup, and then WIN a game in the WC... He should go back to comment on the other sport, or designing dresses or something along the same lines.... Just think of this little detail... in the West Coast, the Hispanic population is growing at a faster rate than the rest... their children are growing up with soccer, you yourself mentioned the popularity of the Univision network, slowly the sport is becoming more popular. Yes the competition is great, but once again, the resources in these country are unmatched and plenty will get to soccer. Sure it would have been a great boost had the USA placed better, but that is the price to let a moron be in a position of power, hell, look at the politicians.... Great job they are doing are they not? In spite of them there are enough productive people to counter the effects of the idiots, same thing with soccer. It will not only survive, it will thrive... Romania 0 x 0 England 20 minute Fast game being played, England is looking elegant, creating opportunities, Romania is fast, however a little erratic. 27th. minute Romania hits the cross bar.... brilliant option by the Romanian forward.... almost scores.... Z.
