I think the extent of the decline could have been minimized by releasing the news earlier. Doing so could have eliminated the speculation that sent the share price plummeting beforehand. Usually news of flat earnings can bring a stock down as much as 30% (look at today's action for an example). With the release coming after an already existing decline, one wonders where the stock would have been had the news been out earlier. Rainier
