there is a post from bearshark on the Kahuna thread that gave the numbers of his posts concerning his backtesting in 97 of the indicator

I recently gave Barbara Barry the information on the kahuna thread...maybe she can help you on the post numbers because I have already deleted it

also Jerry Favors has information about backtesting in 97 in his write up last week on the link I have posted here before

I dont have the historical data for the NAZ on my spreadsheet
because I just started following that one recently

and I dont do the import thing...remember, Fred is the one that did my spreadsheet for me with the NYSE info

------------
oh hell
I just read your post again

talking from 6-15
sheesh...OK I can do that

(you should ask Neal how badly I read one of his emails...I bet he thought I was on crack or cocaine or drunk out of my mind...my excuse is that I read it while I was still asleep)

but here is the data

15-Jun 68
16-Jun 47
17-Jun 75
18-Jun 75
19-Jun 75

and my spread sheet is rolling...

Nancy,

Here is the Favors article.

marketweb.com

I don't understand what you mean by picking the first day of counting. If I start today, I have no indicator till five days are up. If I start last Monday and add five days closing value, I have the 5 day TRIN for the sixth day...the next day after the last fifth day. Drop the first day and add the new day each time for the cumulative 5 day number.

Maybe I am just lost, but I am missing your meaning.....
