In all the threads he's on, he (stockman) is combative and likes the attention - so don't give him any. Notice how generic and non-specific he is.

For example as a 'bay vs cisco' bigot he always talked about standards, but never commits to discussing any specific one. Now that cisco has clearly won that 'war' (with the Nortel purchase of Bay) he has latched onto 'patents'. Standards are no longer discussed.

Lucent is his new 'champion'. Playing that game (patents) he will probably also start discussing IBM - which has more data networking (vs voice) patents than Lucent.

We should simply stop responding to any of his posts directly.

ps As an investor AND engineer I think the market has plenty of room for more than one company to succeed. The constant derision of some players vs others serves no useful purpose on this thread. Lucent and Nortel and Cisco can all win - its a big market :-)
