Harry, Thanks for posting a very interesting article.

I think Compaq has a wonderful opportunity with Alpha and NT. With the inroads that Compaq and DEC already have in the server environment they are in a position to give HP, Dell, Sun, and IBM real problems.

The story will unfold this fall as Compaq and DEC come together.

What type of revenue does Compaq get when someone else (e.g. Samsung) manufactures the Alpha chip?

Will Compaq will get some licensing revenue?

Does anyone have some idea of the kind of agreements that Compaq has with the fabricators and what type of revenue that will mean for Compaq?

DEC was selling the Alpha chip like cold, sliced fish
instead of Sushi.
