At least in my area, cable internet access is up and running with far less problems than I had with Netcom telephone service. It's very fast, reliable, and always on. I see no reason why all TV cable subscribers can't eventually get hooked up. The cost is premium ( $45 to $50 per month)but worth every penny to a frequent www user. The phone companies have waited too long, ASADL will be superfluous by the time the phone companies get around to taking the internet seriously.
