WW,

If you ask me I think COMS is busy focusing on their business and have had enough of the analysts right now. Besides they figure (and rightly so) how much lower can the stock reasonably go. If I were running COMS I would put out the following press release:

"For Immediate Release

Steve Porter, CEO, CFO and COO of 3Com Corporation today announced that the company wouldn't talk to ANY analysts for teh next 2 years. In a statement made today on CNBC Mr. Porter drove his point home by saying "Piss on the Analysts. They can never get a damn thing right anyway, so I am not going to waste my time with those idiots anymore. Instead I will spend my time actually running the company, even though it is a novel thought". Mr. Porter went on to say that he has instructed his IR department to treat any investor calling as if they were an analyst and to give them a reasonable amount of information."
