Chip,
I think the Banshee announcement looks very positive. By having the best 2D specs the company is ideally positioned for all the computer magazine benchmark tests showing blazing speed. That should be sufficient to drive a considerable among of OEM business. A great 2D and good 3D should make for a winner. Reading through the OGR discussion, I think the "con" misses the boat in his critique that VooDoo2 customers won't run out to buy Banshee boards. That's not the plan, Stan. VooDoo2 and then VooDoo3 will continue strong with Banshee providing new incremental business in a different market segment.

Chip,

I am long on TDFX and have been so through all this turmoil but I must say that I did expect at least a point today and hold. I am pretty far down on paper but still do believe in them.

My big concern right now is that they have 0 respect from the street. I wonder when an institution will buy this stock again. Even if they have a great quarter if they don't announce an OEM deal before earnings we could feasibly be sitting at $12 which if earnings are good bring us to $15 which is still below where we are now.

This company has got to get respect from the institutions again and they have not and are giving no indications whatsoever that they are dong so. I am just quite disgusted because they have so much going for them from the development point of view but they need to Smooze with the real players which are the institutions. My gut feel is they are being alittle too arrogant with there expertise and not being diplomatic about getting volume investors.

I am long and want to stay long but I am losing my patience.
