Vincent: I agree and that is why I probably will be paper trading for some time. Their are so many things to learn. The encouraging thing about the little study I did was that CC is better than just holding the stock. It also tells me that if I learn my lessons well that money can be made.

Vincent: I am going back through the posts to try and absorb more knowledge on options. In your post you said that you have to hold a CC for the duration of the call. I thought if you wrote a covered call and the stock went down you could buy another call at the same strike price and this would close the original position out. I also thought this could be done at any time during the life of the option.
