Congratulations to E'Lane. Her efforts to revive the spirit and humor of the thread are commendable ... and succeeding. I rarely post (never more than once a month and by then thousands of posts have gone by). I just returned from a trip to Washington State and was surprised to find that my DGIV position was a little different than when I left (painfully different). Worse, I found derogatory postings by "names" that I did not recognize. Though unsolicited, I concur that these new "names" make no contribution to the thread. If they were serious investors, they would do DD ... and then report on the results, even if the results were negative. Instead, they post idle, but negative, speculation. Worse, they appear to do it continuously and purposefully: and it is here that they undermine themselves. A strong, honest person may disagree with you, but they do so "in the open" (no hidden identity) and they do so early and loudly. They do not hesitate to state why they do something (motivation) and back up their speculation with facts (or at least probabilities based on DD). They establish their credibility with their openness and honesty, and by making a contribution to the thread (I saw a reference to GaBard earlier, from the MIDL debacle - what a guy! As an outspoken proponent for MIDL, it was quite probably his dedicated DD that precipitated (but did not cause) MIDL's calamitous fate (jury is still out, by the way). Gary was disappointed to say the least, but he was still respected for his hard, honest DD (though a few, who lost more than they should have wagered, disparaged him). The "names" who now appear on this thread are not behaving in an honorable manner (or even a benign, humorous manner). They do no DD, make no contribution and deserve no respect. I heartily encourage all to skip their posts ... and ask that others who normally lurk C'MON DOWN ... and pay your respects to E'Lane and the WHOLE gang (whom I salute). Again, congratulations (and don't forget to run the stock up tomorrow <vbg>). Keep up the good work ... and keep having fun! Best regards.
