That's assuming the "buyer's" stock is going to move at a faster rate than CS' stock. I'm one who looks more at the market's reaction to the news than the news itself.

It seems strange to me that the whole world could have been wrong regarding earnings and the people in the market followed it. It was a good day with great volume after several good days with some momentum. Perhaps there is something bigger than all this 6 cent/4 cent earnings stuff right around the corner.

If the stock doesn't get slammed tomorrow AM something very significant will soon be announced!

Final note:

The European market is expected to remain bullish even as the US markets stare a bearish type future in the face. If I were at the helm of a European company trying to purchase US companies, I would view time as my friend and let my broker (CS) do the work for me.
