When updating qp2 each night, do I need to make sure that I first open QPV so that virtual files get updated? How about when I scan, with output to a virtual subfile--do I need to first open QPV?

I don't open QPV during the download each night (the virtual files will point automatically to the updated database), but I do open it when I run scans with output to virtual directories (or subdirectories).
