3COM CORP (COMS) 25 7/8 -13/16: 3Com has now confirmed that they will report Q4 earnings after the close on Wednesday, and they have explained that the reason for the delay in setting a specific date was that this was the first year-end report made since the US Robotics merger. This may be true, but we remain nervous about the upcoming
release, as explained in the related Story below. Last quarter, COMS missed badly despite sharp reductions in earnings estimates ahead of the release (without any public warning). The four prior quarters, they came right in on the Zacks consensus estimate.
