Yes, but then why can you still purchase the stock? Someone placed a trade on it today. He was fooling around and payed 50› and got 100 shares. If it were really that junky then there would be no MMs there right?

Right ... OTC shells are tough and you really have to look into them much deeper than normal. It is best that the shell be fully reporting, have some type of institutional holder or broker or capital investment firm etc etc etc. This gives you some feeling of safety that you will not get stuck with a dead shell.

Shells are great finds if you can get on the right one. AVBC a guy bought at .005 and hung on to it on a gamble it would come back to life. Just before it did come back he sold it at .01. Can you imagine if he had done his homework... Whew.
