Unveiling does not = shipping. WDC's Haggerty has said before, it's not who's first with the PR, it's who's first to ship in volume. Of course SEG could still take pole position but simply announcing such a product doesn't mean that they will either be first to ship or that vertical integration was responsible for anything. Personally I'm of the opinion that the 1st gen of these devices will be as warmly received as ... Celeron; i.e. not very. I find it noteworthy that the PR contains no indication of pricing levels ... if it was going to be super cheap they would have bragged about it. Still, it's a step in the right direction. What ever happened to those postage-stamp-size HDDs IBM was showing off a few years ago? God bless, PX
