I would not expect Loral to get much of a bump from this launch. The stock has been depressed by political factors. Clinton's China trip will flush out another round of political bashing. Whether all the people likely to dump the stock due to bad political press have done so by now remains to be seen. So we might get a little movement, one way or the other.

Our first Zenit launch is the biggie. Once the next twelve sats are up, enough of the constellation will be in place to do some serious system shake outs.

On a longer range view, I can hardly contain myself when I see the Internet stocks soar. How can the Amazons and Yahoos justify the multiples? Something is amiss when a pile of CPUs in a room somewhere can generate these market caps. Can we expect to be supported by these tulip buyers or will the market sour on all the information delivery companies? Dont know, dont care. I am long because I have confidence that good companies rise to the top. (especially in bad markets) Loral is continuing to build a network that will produce in a manner and time frame (2-5 years) to provide superior returns and rise above the background noise of the market.

Thanks again to the short sighted politicians for extending the buy opportunity.
