Gary, thank you for your quick response. The dll files are being removed by InstallShield. Some directories were not deleted and I had to remove them manually.

This may have to do with deleting improperly, see previous post:

HI Gary. I am going to attempt another reinstall. #5. WHAT could I be doing wrong?

The Chart module is returning an error that a symbol could not be found and no tickers are available.

The Internet module shows no updates are required.

The Auto update shows what I need but aborts.

I'm gun shy of QV and I don't even say it outloud!

The heck with the manual, I just wanna get it up!
Please send a QP viagra ASAP.

OK, Q2 was running once, then I installed QV. Since then all hell broke loose and Q2 never came back again.

Everthing else on the puter works.....

Any hints?

Thanks,
bdog

Gary. Success! Compliments to your tech staff!

As each possible solution was crossed off I was bummed until she asked me what date my computer was showing. Oh yeah, what a fool I was for not checking that. Apparently when my laptop wigged out with QV the date set itself to 1980. Although Metastock and everything else worked, your time sensitive code did not.

Up and running.

Richard wins a point for this round. Well, kinda. It was semi user induced. But the programmers could have put a plug in there to check against an atomic clock. But... what if you wanted to change the time? Round and round we go.

Thanks to all that helped.
