The Papers claim that because Kalam spent 3 or 4 moths in the U.S way back when that he went home and copied the missile technology is the most ridiculous claim I have ever heard. I don't believe for a minute that the American Scientists readily showed him all the secret designs of the American missiles, come on how naive one has to be to believe such a nonsense.

Yes, the paper didn't make sense there. However, it has been known that the Indian missiles were very close replicas of prior US missiles and the reason why Kalam and company were able to lay their hands on the US designs so easily is because the designs were de-classified some years after the US developed those missiles...
