As you invest you live and learn. I used to have three criteria for being interested in a tech company, those being

1. Marketplace / mindshare leader
2. Technology leader
3. Well positioned in a growing market.

Now, after being crushed in my TDFX position, I have decided to add another criteria to my list:

4. Adept at presenting itself to investors through press releases / P.R. etc.

By this criteria I would no longer invest in TDFX. Their ability to present themselves to the investor community seems to be deficient in the extreme. At this point I am only staying long to try to recoup my losses. I no longer have much hope of this company being a big success in the long run.

Regards.

Chip,

I truly appreciate your insight into this stock. Most of us are in the same boat with TDFX and want them to succeed.

With great earnings last quarter with great products and great sales,
what happened?

The engineers did their job, the sales people did theirs, but upper management and the PR department did not because they were not able to sustain the momentum they had with any support. Somebody has to be at fault here but where does it fall.

My biggest frustration is that TDFX could be a 45 stock today and rising if they had the fund managers backing them. I hold PR and upper management responsible for this.

I sure hope we can pull this out.

Again, thanks

Mike
