Hi Kurt,

I went to just one of the Russian web sites you had listed. I gather you came by these by doing a key word search for Digitcom?

Basically, this is pretty much the same information one can get from the DGIV "Russian" press release.

It is Russian coverage of the Rostov conference in November of '97....The First International Conference Of Systems and Methods of Communication, Computer Technology, and Television.

The Russian representatives, including, it seems, a company interested in "communications investments" are interested, the document says, in DLD's internet telephone product. DLD is described as the exclusive agent of the parent company, Digitcom.

It was stated that DGIV is involved with the task of licensing of patented products...trade brands Faxport, Voxport, Netcall, and Mobile Callback.

The document also states that the Russian representatives are proposing a joint venture with DGIV.

The part that is somewhat perplexing though is this: a Russian was quoted as saying there will have to be an "addressing" of bureaucratic problems in dealing with DGIV because a Russian company,CompTek, has a similar but cheaper voice product.

This document you found is part of the following web site, which is pretty spiffy and snazzy. It is Network World....about communications.
