Spintek Update (SPTK). In my haste to post a rumor for Spintek last week, I failed to do accurate DD on the date of the meeting of the Nevada Gaming Control Board. The meeting was not last week, but is today, June 23rd, in Carson City. The ask on SPTK has dropped to .49 and this email from the Spintek VP confirms that something is going on. The timing seems to work out. From: DavidCG The Nevada Gambling Commission is doing the following as stated by Patrick Schmit (Vice Pres. for Sales/Marketing at SPTK) which I just received: >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Subj: RE: Las Vegas Gambling Commission Date: 6/15/98 3:56:39 PM Pacific Daylight Time From: pschmit01@sprynet.com (Patrick Schmit) To: DavidcG580@aol.com Thanks for your Email. It is true that we have been under a 30 day evaluation period being monitored by the Nevada State Gaming Control Board, in fact, it is Sam's Town that has been under this test. The test was set up to determine the viability of our (Spintek's) equipment providing "verification" of hopper fills. Currently this is conducted by a second individual present at the game. I am not in a position to speculate on the actions to be taken by the NSGCB. I can however relate that our product has been working very well and we anticipate a favorable review. I can NOT however, say that this review will result in the reduction of the minimum standards. This will be determined soley by the Gaming Control Board. I do not believe this is a "vote". I am under the impression they will be evaluating the empirical evidence gathered over the past weeks and make a decision based on the results. (So the following statement makes sense, I asked him if the reduction of two people to one person signing the slip would be a huge gain in marketing/sales strategy..the following was his reply) I have not discussed this reduction of minimum standards with any potential customer as being the sole reason to purchase and subsequent benefit of our system. Clearly, this would effect the ROI and the feasibility of some casinos and may alter their ultimate decision to purchase. Time will tell. Once again, thanks for your inquiry and you support of Spintek. --pschmit >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
