Why the USA is terrible:

No consistant striker.

Only France, Spain, Romania, Holland, and Argentina have taken more shots than the United States. However, in 37 shots the USA has only one goal. The US will not be a threat to anyone but themselves until they find someone who can put the ball in the back of the net.

Maybe it'll be McBride, but, you can't score everything with your head. Try sending in those crosses against the Germans. It's certainly not Wynalda or Wegerle.

We need to hope there is some high school kid scoring goals like crazy and preparing for 2002. Or maybe we can send Mia Hamm out for a sex change.

Chile sure blew their chance. If they'd have won the group they'd have it so much easier. I'm afraid they're not up to the task of defeating Brazil.

England could be in for a bit of trouble. You never know when the Colombians are going to decide to play some good ball. Of course, without Asprilla they are much less of a threat. I heard the President of Colombia personally appealed to the manager of the team to reinstate Asprilla to the team, but, was denied.

Take care everyone,
Gary
