Gregor, May I suggest that you follow your own advice and be genuine, don't be fake, be yourself, be honest with yourself. It isn't wrong to feel foolishness in your actions. Many Christians have told me that many of the actions which felt most foolish, at the time, become, upon reflection, acts of uncommon genuineness. Such is foolishness, to paraphrase: We must humble ourselves and acknowledge that despite our intellectual sophistication, our actual awareness of [God] is primitive. Now... I don't know whether any of this is really the case or not. Such, perhaps, is my foolishness. But your "great secret" struck me as a genuine "secret" that may be shared by many. What do you think?
