Whizzer, I think we have to expect TXN to blame any short falls over the next quarter or so on the DRAM fabs they are paying MU to buy. And, we have to expect the bulls to belive it. So, though I think TXN is doomed to fall to the 20s, it may be early to have anything more than a 1/3 position in puts.

ADI is a company I absolutely love. As opposed to most chip cos., they are technology leaders, do not try to bully smaller cos, and do not overhype the stock. You have to wonder if they are really allowed into the chip company private clubs. -g- However, things are tough for them right now, as is to be expected. They are one I want to own for the next upcycle, but we have a long ways to go in this downcycle first. And when the time comes, the way to buy it is with the convertible, if you can find any.

Don't know about the G&S date. If I were them, I would kick it out the door while the fish are biting.
