Len, I got a call from him too, but was out working we he called. Since Optim's last post to me, I have worked with NGO a little more. Still not impressed with it's complexities. Basically, between Optim's suggestions and the program's user unfriendliness, I'm pretty much baffled.

Sorry for the late reply.

I had to rebuild my NT 4 partition and I am just getting back up to speed. I have designed a few basic nets so far, with mixed results. Basically I took a number of indicators in Neuroshell Trader and used them to manipulate the OHLCV data for a few stocks. Then I threw these all into Profit/NGO and let it sift through all them. I am forecast a 3 day Adaptive moving average of the percent change in price. The ideal profit on the stock I am trying out is 17,000.00 for the out of sample period. I have managed to get about 5000.00 of that. I really need to give some thought into the inputs for these nets though. I just figured I'd give NGO a stab at them first!

I am starting to understand how NGO works it's magic, so I'm sure in two weeks when I am finally off for summer vacation I should be able to do some serious number crunching. Until then work is keeping me busy though.

I'll be honest in saying that Neurostock hasn't made me any money yet. I just don't trust the signals given from it. I use them as a confirmation for TA and my gut feelings. I think with a properly designed Profit/NGO net though I would be willing to sit back and let it call the shots.
