>Iomega is looking long term to when the Zip and clik become the standards in the industry . Then they will control their market and then comes the profits big time .<<

You just don't get it. There already is a Standard. Let me clue you in. I just got back from J&R Computer here in NYC. Line of about 15 people waiting to cash out. 3 of these people had CD-R discs in hand. That's right. CD-R. According to published articles, more people are going to buy CD-R/CD-RW drives this next year alone than total Iomega drives sold in history.

At J&R, a 10 pack of TDK CD-R's was $24.99 with a $20 rebate. That means $4.99 total or 0.49› per 650MB disc after rebate. It's getting so ridiculous at these prices. We have been doing routine backups of some files on the same 0.49› multisession CD-R for a month now. It's fantastic.

Iomega is not losing to Syquest. It's much bigger than that. Iomega is losing to CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-RW, MO, among others, and severely threatened by a couple of upcoming devices from Sony, Teac, Fuji, Castlewood Systems, and Aiwa.

Hello!
I am a long investor of IOM stocks....
I've got in at 8 and now i am stuck with it for a long hold.
I have these questions for you.
The enhance is going to come out soon, do you know when?
Also, the second quarter earning with more than expected loss, would that make the price of this stock go south on the date?
As I've read along the messages, some one had said that the Company may want to withhold good news and just presenting us with all the bad news such as, quarterly loss, short of cash on hand, lay off...and eventually they would give good news out one per day.. IS THIS TRUE?
Thanks for you input.
