You are incorrect A market maker is unlike the public. Firstly, the $5 rule is merely for purposes of marginable securities and this is only where the public is concerned. Second, Bulletin Board stocks are non marginable and can only be shorted by the investing public through Canada, although its not 100% kosher. A market maker can short any Bulletin Board stock at will. If a market maker could not short a stock then it would be possible for there to be no offer which is obviously unreasonable. The only thing that a market maker cannot do is short an IPO. The public is the only one that needs the ability to borrow the stock. These rules For your information can be confirmed through calling NASDAQ in case any one has a question regarding this matter.

Morning, all you 'Newbies'...and 'Hang Tough' you 'Oldies!'.... Welcome to the 'World of Pennies'..... With respect to 'DGIV' I'm only 4 weeks old, but because of my 12 year Parochial education, I think i've been a 'Rocketeer' for many years/decades. IMO : 3 of the 4 'Starships' have been shot at, slashed, hit by 'SD' (stuck detective, move over Inspector Clouseau) they/we have paid the price...it ain't easy to be a 'long'. but guess what, i'm/we are still here....'Good ole' 'sd' did their thing and then were backed up by a 'caccophony' of Rumpswabs...... These 'mercanaries' then started an unmerciful attack on the old 'Starships'....."Guess what"...they won the first 'Battle' ...... The war ain't over!!!!!! What did they accomplish: 1) They created panic...(shame on us!!) 2) They shook loose 'the daytraders'/monthly traders...(cya) 3) They've created buying opportunities in the 3 'Starships' that they've attacked. (buy if 'ya' can....."watching is just-as-good!") 4) "they got paid to on dump us!" 'THESE PEOPLE/'rumpswabs' are the dark side of 'The 1st Amendment' They've taught us a-couple of valuable lessons..."THEY'RE PETRIFIED OF A GROUP OF INVESTORS THAT HAVE THE SKILLS TO STICK TOGETHER."....... They could care less about 'DGIV', 'IFNE', or 'MTEI' .....What they are concerned about is the 'THE ROCKETEERS' they realize that we are not an organized group of investors 'YET' ..... Ya know, if a group of people get together based on principles that are driven by stuff our parents taught us/and or other stuff that we learn ourselves vis/avie a little league baseball game/sailing lessons/cooking/how to run a lemonade stand/garage sale/ divorce/ down to, how to flip baseball cards against the wall.....Then guess what....the war definitely has, just begun!!! They are really petrified that if the 3 afformentioned "Starships" reach their destination intact.........and we are still a 'Viable Group' the good ole boys are in deep doodoo....... In other words....they are trying to nip us in the bud, destroy us before we are formed and suffocate us NOW....I for one ain't ready to cash my 'idealistic' chips in, Yeh I know I'm too old to be idealistic, but guess what I'm also a 'MOUSEKETEER'......will not be denied. Lt.jat($have-tail).....ps...... "they are afraid of the position that we might take in ' October or November!!' of 'what-ever-year!!!'....... "OUR/their, FUTURE IS NOW!!!'...my $$$ is on 'US'!... Have you joined 'Raging Bull yet?'...just do it!...cya there!
