My Friend Roger:
I am one very happy short.
I was short AMZN(made $100), YHOO(lost $5k),AOL(lost $15k) , ONCE!!!!
Now As you should know that my short portfolio is 100 % the ZIT.
The ZIT will be less than $1.00 before Dec.1999. AMZN and DELL could just keep going higher. I am long DELL and feel sorry for anyone that shorts DELL. I am mean, what are you looking for DELL to drop to ???
I and you know that ZITL will be less than $1.00 !!!

Your Friend, michael

Roger, do you think any large risk in shorting amzn at 92+? I don't think so and will short 100 shares as quickly as I have money in my account. Hope that amzn still goes up while my check arrives. If I were one of amzn employees w/ more than 10K shares I am more interested in selling my stocks asap at this level and retire than packaging books/CDs and mail it (basically a mail-order-company which grows to 5B in less than 2 yrs!).

In your experience have you ever seen any other phenomenon like amzn (aol, yahoo) yet still thrives and does not fall (KTEL, ZITL, PRST I guess are in small cap). The dilemma of shorting amzn is that the price can go higher to 200, 300 as some wants/fears, but if you don't take risks when it crashes it is too late. So hope that I can short 100 at 92+ then if I am badly wrong will short 100 more at 122+, then might sell all I have now and short at 152+. In short, I think if one can hunker down the most 1 yr, the return in shorting amzn is great. (Just a common sense opinion - I may be wrong badly again)

Roger- I have told you several times that your view on ATHM is wrong. You don't understand how important the ATHM technlogy is and I have told you many times that ATHM business is brisk, especially couple months ago they added SAN JOSE area as a sevrice area.

My information on ATHM is always accurate, granted I live in the Silicon Valley.

I hope you cover your short position in ATHM cause I am telling you now several new developments are happening at ATHM and you will see $100 on ATHM soon!

I don't own ATHM stock but do want to warn you!

Have been lurking awaiting the moment to pounce on AMZN, and I think that time is near. I can short a modest amount or else buy lots of puts and go for the gold. Has anyone out there looked at some mixed option strategies to see if there are any sure winner strategies in this volatile stock? It sometimes happens.
